Steam powered screw rotor machine

Steam powered screw rotor machine (machine) – is a cogeneration unit aimed at utilization of the heat energy of the steam and electric power production.

The machine consists of expander unit, generator, automatic control system and auxiliary equipment. When the machine is operated, intensive steam enters into an inlet chamber and fills in cavities of rotor screw. Steam getting into the cavity of the screws and having an effect on their surfaces, generates mechanical torque, transferred to the operated generator. When reached the maximum, steam reaches low pressure pipeline through the exhaust pipe and is applied further for the customer thermotechnical needs.

A rotor mechanism (a screw pair) as basic operating component is utilized in the machine, main shaft of which is coupled with generator or other driven device (pump, compressor, etc.).
